Community Outreach - Mission Statement
Polestar's community outreach programs in the arts and sciences are planned to include organic gardening, sustainable agriculture, and a farmer's market, promote environmental awareness and scientific inquiry, provide leadership training, offer visual and performing arts classes, sponsor guest artists and leaders to provide role models for youth, develop relationships to sponsor an international exchange student program, and provide support for qualified student participation in mission-aligned high achievement leadership programs in the arts and sciences.
Programs are open to all interested and qualified local youth on a sliding scale and according to availability. Qualifications for a specific program include age range, experience or readiness, and interest in acquiring a specific skill or in participating in the offered program.
